Antarctica is quite far away. It never registered in mind except for the textbook called world record low temperature-below 69 C. But today, an adress points out its meaning- not just geological, scientific but also psychological and emotional. It's a hut where there is around 1000 reseachers converged during Oct-Feb. It's the biggest base in the all white land where knowledge, ideas, humanity and fun are exchanged and outshined the obscured land. Your passion for living, your enjoyment for fish hunt and your love for the greated purpose, maybe distant, but all are microwaved northbound. Salute to you! We feel it.

「星光」的指引
本來想取一個較不八股的開頭, 想想這個標題到也能切入命題。
BW驚訝我也要趕赴「超級星光大道」，我真覺得好久沒有可以期待的電視節目了。每個禮拜讓情緒發酵、 腫脹，感受疼惜及歡欣。同理心是教不來的經驗，說多了就是課堂的教條及試卷的選擇題。可是在看林宥嘉和楊宗緯每每潰堤飆淚時就覺得這雖不會上壹週刊頭條但我一定會找人聊聊的感動。
如果說這節目製作的成功，從商業來說其操作面的確值得從媒體、公民及資源等切入探討。從社會變遷及感嘆世態炎涼的犬儒心態來說，可以說這真是台灣情感匱乏的反省。可是就我爸的標準就是「這個節目好、有意思、很正面，振奮人心」，他的認同及投入不只說這是個闔家觀賞的電視節目，也可以說是這當中有些我們以為只有在老一輩的才看得到的價值在我們覺得最沒希望的一群世代中顯現而為之振奮 。是哪些價值呢？

君子無欲
總算等到于丹的"論語心得", 從電視上看到她談論李白的風才後, 就很期待拜讀她對經典的當代詮釋. 在睡前, 我直從'君子之道"尋求啟蒙( enlightment), 從前的國學背誦, 印象殘留懵懂的"君子", 聖賢做不成但一定要力行君子之道, 成興國救世之任. 但多數的高中夫子們說的總是不關痛養, 年輕如我( 當時) 總覺得孔老夫子道德理想過高. 連自己都沒信心( 謙虛) 自己做不到. 「君子道者三, 我無能焉 : 仁者不憂, 知者不惑, 勇者不懼」。真難, 君子要兼具仁者,知者與勇者的特質, 這不是道德高標準?
于丹道說孔夫子說的是做人的標準, 從自己內心對自己要求更嚴格, 對別人多些厚道。真君子能做到「不怨天, 不尤人」不抱怨老天不給機會;不抱怨自己沒人了解, 做到內心的仁、知、勇, 內心就無憂, 無惑, 無懼。
「無慾則剛」老爸常說, 他其實只想在南投那好山好水做個山林好漢, 對於人事升遷的紛紛擾擾他全然不想攪和, 尤其亂世裡實在無須搶出頭。但意料的調動命令在2天內就讓他回到都會現實, 他呼嚕的和每個人告知這消息時, 可能自己都還沒回神, 即將銜命上任, 但心態仍在調適中。這兩天, 他評估了一些現象, 知道的確是灘死水爛泥, 心裡有個譜。正如他常耳提面命的: 權力越大, 責任越大。保持安泰不器, 想來家裡還是能保有安泰幸福。

one person working space
The ring tone made its prominent existence. Sound is the wittness of subtle presence.
Only the BBC 2 and the ring tones to mark the opening of the office. Elin left for US. 2 co-workers are absent.
This will be undreamable luxury of any job could ask for: solitary working space and no supervision on site.
Mobility is unbound.
Interior is simple.
Dance like elephant not caring rolling eyes.
Gate is open and close at my time expense.
Music twirling around the spacious room as much pounding as it can.
But depression distill my move in front of the computer writing this note.
Too spacious
A void I perceive.
BBC 2 amplifies the big void of distillness.
Empty seats and dusty desks sink to the floor for out of touch.
Overhead air ventilation installs colder air for lack of warmth.
No workers office.
No interaction.
chit-chat or gossip is in the hybernation under April sun.

Not only career
I knew it wouldn't be easy but not expected to be so complicated. Given all thoughts on changing my career path again, I was hoping to make it right, at least for myself but I didn't see the possibilities to jeapordize other people's happiness, not depriving from not but compromise other's way to happiness. Life is really a cycle. Things will turn to its own shape, not what you want it to be but it will alwasy come back to the initiated.
There is always at least two sided perspectives on the matter of happening.
G's work comes in at the right time yet a bad timing for my current company. Anyone can be insiginificant to the company when there is enough manpower at work but when comes to the middle-sized company like us, and most Taiwanese companies right now, each individual counts. With or without you, it makes a whole lot of difference to the office operation, to the productivity, to the mood of people. Looking around the business world, the low barometer has haunted over Taiwan for a while. The expectation of job hunters comes to conservative. Nevertheless, the quality job candidates are hard to find. This is a double bind. Where to go is not just individual's dilenma but companies's struggle.
Maybe not being the best, but I certainly see myself with a brand of good values. I am hoping to work my best at the best enviroments but still hoping to serve myself to help others as much as possible. Maybe its pieces nature-don't wanna see people hurt; I am hoping to give the best comfort to the person I care and leave no regret.
